Invested Interest in our Community
Since our founding, our Board of Directors has been expressly motivated by the reality that as a true community bank, Kansas Industrial Bank can make a tangible improvement in the quality of life along the Central Coast. Every year since our inception, we have made a conscious effort to support the local not-for-profits in our community. The Bank donates in excess of $100,000 in event sponsorships and donations to local not-for-profit organizations each year. Many of them provide resources that support arts and music, youth outreach, medical research, and low-income households – just some of the causes we recognize as vital to the well-being of our community.
Furthermore, we believe our employees as community bankers should have the opportunity to volunteer for organizations that are personally significant to them. To allow and encourage that involvement, we provide forty paid hours per year to each of our employees to volunteer for the organization of their choice. We believe that understanding the needs of our community through these organizations and addressing those needs, either with financial support or through volunteerism, is an important part of our role in the communities we serve.
